Ngā kawenga | About the role
We are currently looking to employ a full-time, permanent, Administration Officer in our Regional Administration team based at Christchurch Men's Prison. This is an opportunity to be a part of a values-led organisation where you will be an integral part of a small but dedicated team that provides high quality and professional administration services to the region. As a part of your role, you will be involved in the following:
- Payroll processing and timesheet coordination
- Accounts and invoicing
- Inward goods and mail processing
- Telephone and reception duties
- Data processing and record keeping
- Inventory and stocktakes
A number of these tasks are across all areas and this brief list is not exhaustive.
This is a full-time permanent role, working 40 hours per week. The core hours will be between 8am–4.30pm.

We are looking for someone who can represent our organisation with pride and professionalism and who has the following skills:
- Knowledge of and experience with financial/accounting and administrative procedures, systems and processes.
- A can-do attitude with a high level of initiative and discretion.
- Resilience when dealing with difficult situations/changing environments and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines whilst managing a high volume of work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with a diverse range of people at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Be capable of working independently or in a team environment.
- Experience working with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- A full NZ driver licence is required.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The salary range for this role is $62, 217- $65, 934 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
