About the Role:

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Midwives to join our casual pool at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Te Matau a Māui, Hawke's Bay.

In this role, you will provide high-quality care across the midwifery scope, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal services. Casual positions offer flexibility, with shifts available on an on-call basis, making it an ideal opportunity to balance your professional and personal commitments while supporting the Hawke’s Bay community.

About you:

We are looking for midwives who are:

  • Registered with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand and hold a current practising certificate.
  • Competent across the midwifery scope and adaptable to a variety of care settings.
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communicators with a collaborative approach to providing patient-centered care.
  • Flexible and available to work on an on-call basis.
