About the role
This role is part of a friendly and professional multidisciplinary team working in a modern hospital with first-rate facilities. We take great pride in our sense of community down south, and you will see this in the tight knit family feel amongst the staff.
The Critical Care Unit at Southland Hospital is a combined ICU, CCU and HDU with six beds. The unit is also involved with the Cardiac Arrest team and Telemetry monitoring.

About you
Our ideal candidate will:
- Be someone who enjoys working in a team environment
- Can adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations
- Have essential recent acute nursing experience
- Have previous critical care experience desirable but non-essential
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings

Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO Collective, and the salary will be in accordance with the Registered Nurse Scale, between Step 2 $81,683 and $106,739 p.a dependant on relevant experience.
