Location:   Hutt Hospital

Service:     Endoscopy/Medical Day Stay

Contract:   0.6 FTE - fixed term 12 months ( covering parental leave)

Salary:      NZNO Meca $81,683 to $106,739 depending on experience - Pro rata

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

As a registered nurse in the Gastroenterology/Endoscopy service you will be part of a dynamic team providing comprehensive care to patients who journey through our Gastroenterology service. This includes working in the endoscopy procedure room and recovery area as well as undertaking procedure pre assessments. As we offer a comprehensive out of hour - s service our Registered Nurse's are required to participate on an on call roster. We are co-located with Medical Day Stay and share a staffing model therefore the Registered nurse will be required to work across both Endoscopy and Medical Day Stay.

Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team

We are a small team of 7 Gastroenterologists, a nurse practitioner/endoscopist and several Specialty Clinical Nurses.  We provide both inpatient and outpatient care and perform a range of diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. In Medical Day Stay our nursing team provide a high quality infusion service to the patients living in our community and district.

Moū - About you

We are looking for a Registered nurse who has experience working in the NZ health care setting and has relevant nursing skills. The successful candidate must have a can do attitude, be flexible and also be committed to developing and maintaining relevant specialist knowledge.
