(Scope of Practice - Registered Nurse)

 

The Opportunity 

We are looking for a registered nurse that can be a part of a fantastic Nursing team!

The Gastroenterology Service is one of the fastest growing departments in the hospital. As a gastroenterology nurse you will use a wide range of your skills and knowledge to succeed in an ever-changing clinical environment.

Gastroenterology includes being involved in to name a few:

  • Endoscopy
  • Capsule Endoscopy
  • ERCP
  • IBD
  • Hepatology
  • PEGs
  • Bowel Screening
  • Nursing Assessments
  • Emergency Procedures

The shifts are weekdays 0730 – 0900 starts with rotating on-call roster (24/7). Available FTE is 1.0 but we can be flexible for the right person.

Essential Skills

  • APC
  • Minimum of 2 years NZ nursing experience
  • Minimum of 1-year NZ Acute Nursing (hospital) experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player – You must have a positive attitude and a good work ethic

Preferred Skills

  • Gastroenterology nursing background is a benefit to your application but not vital as we have an excellent orientation.
  • PDRP level 3
  • Critical thinking
  • Problem solver
  • A drive to learn new skills
