The Opportunity
We are looking for a registered nurse that can be a part of a fantastic Nursing team!
The Gastroenterology Service is one of the fastest growing departments in the hospital. As a gastroenterology nurse you will use a wide range of your skills and knowledge to succeed in an ever-changing clinical environment.
Gastroenterology includes being involved in to name a few:
- Endoscopy
- Capsule Endoscopy
- ERCP
- IBD
- Hepatology
- PEGs
- Bowel Screening
- Nursing Assessments
- Emergency Procedures
The shifts are weekdays 0730 – 0900 starts with rotating on-call roster (24/7). Available FTE is 1.0 but we can be flexible for the right person.
Essential Skills
- APC
- Minimum of 2 years NZ nursing experience
- Minimum of 1-year NZ Acute Nursing (hospital) experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player – You must have a positive attitude and a good work ethic
Preferred Skills
- Gastroenterology nursing background is a benefit to your application but not vital as we have an excellent orientation.
- PDRP level 3
- Critical thinking
- Problem solver
- A drive to learn new skills
