About the role

We have a rare opportunity for a Registered Nurse who has an interest in Women - s Health and wants to increase their interest and skills in this specialty. No two days are the same and you will be able to develop your skills with an amazing, supportive team. Your core role will be to provide evidence-based nursing care and be an active member of our nursing team. 

As a Registered Nurse in Gynaecology, you will have an orientation to the organisation, as well as an area specific orientation, and have access to a range of professional development opportunities.

About the Team/Service/ Location

There is a strong team focus in 4 North Gynaecology, and the Registered Nurses work closely together alongside our medical staff to provide a person/whanau centered approach. Our team are passionate and knowledgeable, who are committed to giving our patients the best experience they can on their journey. We are supportive and encouraging of our staffs learning and facilitate where possible. 

4 North Gynaecology has 14 beds and a treatment room where patients come after hours for assessment, planning of care and are either admitted or discharged home. 

We specialise in Gynaecology, Uro-Gynaecology, Gynaecology-Oncology, pregnancy up to 20 weeks and post natal after 12 days.

Our days are varied, often providing care for patients from other specialties. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge

About you

  • Must have NZ nursing registration
  • Surgical experience an advantage
  • 2 years post graduate experience
  • Current APC
  • Must have a current work visa
  • Passionate about providing quality healthcare to women
  • An enthusiastic team player, wanting to contribute to the health system in New Zealand/Aotearoa
