Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Our service is expanding! We have permanent fulltime or part time (minimum 0.8 FTE) RN positions available within the Interventional Radiology & Cardiology Service at Wellington Hospital. The focus of the role is assisting with and providing high quality care to patients undergoing Interventional Radiology & Cardiology procedures and is similar to working in Operating Theatres. The working hours for the role are 8 hour shifts between 0730 - 1800 Monday - Friday with some overtime required and participation in an afterhours on call roster expected once fully trained. Duties include:
- Providing nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology or cardiology procedures
- Assisting with interventional procedures in scrub & circulating nurse roles
- Preparing patients effectively for procedures
- Supporting patients during procedures
- Safely caring for patients following procedures
- Maintaining a safe environment within the department

Moū - About you
You must have at least two year - s post registration experience in an acute setting preferably with experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab. We are looking for someone who is energetic, positive and highly motivated, who has the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team performing elective, acute and emergent procedures. This is a clinically demanding role and if you are up for a challenge and you have the ability to work under pressure, then we want to hear from you.
