- Medical Clinic Registered Nurse position for Outpatients Department at Health NZ, Te Whatu Ora Taranaki: Permanent, part time position available, 0.9 FTE (72 hours per fortnight).

About the Role
Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking the services of a Medical Clinic Nurse in our Medical Outpatients Department at Taranaki Base Hospital. You would be working as part of a dynamic and patient focused team, responsible for:
· Delivering Phototherapy treatments for Dermatology patients
· Observations from patients prior to clinic appointments
· Fibro scans
· Assisting the Dermatology team with excisions and biopsies and providing after care information
· Close working relationship with Consultants and Registrars
· Excellent working knowledge of hospital systems including computer literacy.
· Assisting Bone Marrow Biopsies
· General duties to clean/tidy and replenish clinic rooms – including setting up with documentation and any other equipment required for the clinic to run smoothly.
· General ordering of supplies and any other tasks required.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The Medical Clinic Nurse plays an important role with ensuring that patients are ready to be seen by the Clinician prior to their appointment, developing excellent working relationships with Clinicians and patients and that when required, assistance is available. This position also takes the lead in Phototherapy treatments and Fibro Scanning clinics.
Currently we have one other RN who works Wednesday to Friday and together you would ensure coverage of all of the clinics which may mean you are rostered differently on some weeks, wherever the clinic need may be. Flexibility is essential to the running of this service.

About you
As an RN you will need the following:
- 2 years minimum hospital experience
- Commitment to ongoing learning should that be required
- Dermatology experience an advantage but not essential
- Flexibility in working hours and days
- A ‘Can do’ attitude to working in a team
- Proactive approach to working environments
