About the Role
Bay of Plenty – Hauora a Toi have a great opportunity for two dedicated Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team in the Acute Medical Ward 4M based at Tauranga hospital. We are offering two permanent part-time positions working 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week), ideal for nurses looking to deepen their clinical experience in a supportive, high-performing environment.
Our Acute Medical Ward provides care for a diverse range of patients, with opportunities to develop their expertise in Respiratory, Endocrinology, Cardiology, and Oncology. You will also support patient rehabilitation and safe transition back to the community. This is a role that offers clinical variety, strong team culture, and meaningful patient connections – perfect for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, collaborative settings.

The ideal candidates will be experienced, and compassionate Registered Nurse who brings clinical competence, a strong sense of teamwork, and a patient-focused mindset to every shift. You are committed to high-quality care and thrive in a busy ward environment.
What you will bring:
- Current NZNR and Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Proven experience in an acute hospital or similar clinical setting.
- Previous/ current New Zealand experience working as a Nurse in an acute Medical/ Surgical setting.
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with medical and allied health teams.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
