Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatū, Horowhenua and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.


The Opportunity

 

Te Uru Rauhi, Mental Health and Addiction Services at MidCentral have positions available for an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurses. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about recovery orientated practice, positive outcomes for whanau and want to work in a fun and collaborative team. We have positions available across community outreach, unplanned care, and short-term acute response programmes.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill in the assessment and management mental health & addiction presentations within a community setting as part alongside inter-disciplinary colleagues.  The role will also include the capacity to be part of a new model of care - Te Mātāpuna o te Ora which focuses on an integrated treatment approach.   

We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated, is committed to ensuring culturally responsive care, and is excited by supporting recovery using contemporary practice models.
