Murchison Aged Residential Care Hospital and Health Centre, Casual position, Rural Location
- Post-registration experience in an acute or primary health care setting is preferred

Murchison is a rural service town, with a permanent population of approximately 1100, located halfway between Nelson and Westport (1.5 hours travel in either direction). During the summer Murchison becomes a destination for holiday makers seeking the great outdoors. The Murchison Community Hospital and Health Centre provides an integrated service of Primary Health, In Patient and PRIME care. The Health Centre has 5 day a week GP or Nurse Practitioner clinics alongside daily Registered Nurse clinics. The Hospital has 6 aged care beds and 2 flexible beds. The flexible beds allow for assessment and observation, respite, palliative and rehabilitation care.
Shifts are rostered and rotating across AM: 0700-1530, PM: 1430-2300, and Night 2245-0715 shifts.

Post-registration experience in an acute or primary health care setting is preferred, although not essential. A Primary Response in Medical Emergency (PRIME) certificate, or an Advanced Life Support certificate is desirable.
