- A minimum of two years acute paediatric and/or neonatal nursing experience in New Zealand is preferred
- Permanent 0.8 FTE

About the Role
You will be working in a combined paediatric and neonatal department where you - ll get the chance to work with children and their families and whānau in our well-equipped, friendly environment.
The paediatric/neonatal unit is a small, vibrant, inpatient unit catering for neonates and children from 0-16 years who require either acute or elective medical and surgical services.
The unit is co-located alongside our paediatric outpatient department.
About the Team/Location
Our vibrant nursing team consists of staff who share passion and enthusiasm for providing high quality care to children. We are well supported by on site Paediatricians and work in close partnership with allied health and maternity colleagues. You will be further assisted with excellent educational opportunities and our paediatric/neonatal nurse educator.
About you
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
- You - ll be a NZ registered nurse with neonatal and/or paediatric experience and a passion for child health nursing.
