  • Permanent, part-time position available to join the team in Radiology
  • Interventional Radiology experience and/or Theatre RN experience.
  • You must be registered with NZNO and hold a current APC

Mō te tūnga | About the role

At the Radiology Service we pride ourselves in keeping up with technology and we have a wealth of experience that we want to share. 

The Radiology Service is based at Christchurch Hospital and Burwood Hospital and our nurses work across both sites.

Our service is divided into specialised areas including CT, Ultrasound Biopsies, MRI, and Interventional Radiology at Christchurch Hospital and MRI, CT and Fluoroscopy at Burwood Hospital.

We can offer you diversity in your workday and the opportunity to expand your nursing skills and knowledge within a range of specialties within the radiology service.

  • Preferred Interventional Radiology experience and/or Theatre RN experience.
  • Your previous acute nursing experience will give you a good base knowledge and we - ll ensure you - re given a comprehensive orientation package and would be keen to support you with your ongoing professional development. 
  • Motivated, with a mature attitude and organised approach, you will be flexible and adaptable in this ever changing, fast paced environment. 
  • You will be an IV cannulator and will require PDRP at proficient level or above.
  • Your ability to work autonomously and effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team, will be key to your success in this role, as will your passion to learn and expand your knowledge in this area of nursing.
  • Ability to work rostered shifts in a multidisciplinary team
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC
