Our South Community Mental Health Team are looking for an experience Registered Nurse to join their team to provide care, support and treatment for people experiencing moderate to severe mental illness.
Mō te tūranga - About the role
In this role you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team based out of Wakari Hospital, working in a case management capacity to deliver a supportive service to our clients. You'll work autonomously but will be well embedded in a team of dedicated mental health professionals.
This role will include delivering focused nursing treatment and provision of effective case management to a specific patient caseload and with the possibility of crisis work. We will support you by providing an orientation to the role and continuing education and training opportunities.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- New Zealand Registration with a scope of practice that allows you to work in mental health and APC with Nursing Council New Zealand
- Previous experience working with people with serious mental illness, ideally in a community setting
- You will have previously demonstrated a commitment to best practice standards and your model of practice will be inclusive of the seven Real Skills of Let's get real (www.tepou.co.nz)
- You will also hold a strong sense of self and a demonstrated commitment to working cohesively in a large and dynamic multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure
- A current full driver's license.

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role belongs to the Te Whatu Ora/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 2 $81,663 p.a. pro-rata and Step 7 $106,739 p.a. pro-rata of the Registered Nurse Salary Scale.
