About the Team/Service/ Location

Working at Tauranga Hospital, you will be part of a highly skilled, and supportive team in theatre/ perioperative department.   In this role you will be supported and encouraged to develop your skills within the team – including progression via PDRP and post graduate education.

About you

Our preferred candidates will have:

  • Recent theatre nursing experience.
  • A current NZ nursing registration, current practising certificate.
  • A passion for quality and the ability to care for patients undergoing a variety of acute and planned care procedures.
  • Upholding our CARE Manaakitanga values are integral to our practice at Te Whatu Ora - Bay of Plenty.
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
