About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Outpatients team at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital. This role is essential in providing excellent patient care within our fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing services to patients within the Surgical Outpatients setting. The role offers a flexible 0.8 FTE position, ideal for someone seeking part-time hours while being part of a committed team focused on providing outstanding healthcare.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Surgical Outpatients service is part of a supportive and dedicated clinical team committed to providing the best possible care for patients. Located in the heart of Hawkes Bay, we provide a range of outpatient services, including pre-surgical assessments, follow-up care, and specialist consultations.

About you
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong clinical background and a passion for delivering excellent patient care. You will be comfortable working within a team, have exceptional communication skills, and be committed to continuous professional development.
- Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- Experience in outpatient services or a surgical nursing environment
- which includes pre- and post-operative patient support, wound care, patient education, and assisting with minor procedures.
- Your background will enable you to manage patient care efficiently, respond to changing clinical needs, and contribute to a smooth patient journey through the service.
