About the role

We are seeking a registered nurse with paediatric cardiac experience and/or cardiac investigation room experience in adults or paediatrics to join our well-supported team in the Starship Cardiac Investigation Unit, undertaking both interventional and diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures.

About the Team

The Paediatric and Congenital Cardiac Service team in Starship Child Health are the sole provider of cardiology and cardiac surgical services for infants and children with congenital and acquired heart disease in New Zealand and parts of the Pacific Basin. We provide cardiac care across the life spectrum with a fetal cardiology service through to care of those born with congenital heart diseases who are now adults (ACHD). 

About you

As the ideal candidate for this role you will:

  • Have registration with NZ Nursing Council with current APC.
  • Have at least 2 years Paediatric Cardiac Nursing experience
  • Have well-developed communication and critical thinking skills
  • Have a positive attitude, an innovative and adaptable approach to practice
