Contract:  Permanent Full time 1 FTE

Salary: $77,087.00 - $107,600.00 depending on experience

Warm Pasifika greetings, We have a vacancy for a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Social Worker to join Health Pasifika Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. You will be working with an experienced Clinical team, and will be an essential part of our service delivery. At Health Pasifika CAMHS, we strive to provide quality care to our Pasifika Children, young person - s and their Families seeking mental health and addiction services.

If you have the following attributes we are looking for you:

  • Ability to work in a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and demonstrate values consistent with those of the MHAID 3DHB Services.
  • Committed to working within the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
  • Capacity to practice in a holistic manner using cultural models of care that engages tangata whaiora/consumers/whanau from a range of different Pasifika cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work effectively with partner agencies in the community to meet a diverse range of needs.
  • Demonstrate competence in communicating with a wide range of people, and lead meetings and document outcomes and plans

Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team

The Pasifika Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) provide specialist mental health services for pacific children and adolescents between the ages of birth and 18 years (inclusive) with indicators of significant mental health problems, and consultation services for lead agencies working with children and youth with primary mental health disorders.  The service is based in Porirua, but covers the Wellington regions of Kapiti, Porirua and Wellington City.

Within Pasifika CAMHS, we respect and observe Pasific protocols in our practice and functioning as a team.  We integrate cultural and clinical needs to ensure that our community receives the best possible mental health care.

Moū - About you

We are looking for a Registered Social Worker who has experience working in a Child and adolescent Mental Health Service. The Social Worker will have a good understanding of the cultural models of care and the diversity of our Pasifika children and their families.
