The purpose of the Health and Disability Commissioner (HDC) is to promote and protect health and disability services consumers' rights and to facilitate the fair and efficient resolution of complaints relating to infringement of those rights.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
The role of the Report Anonymiser is to ensure HDC's complaint reports are accurately anonymised prior to publication on the HDC website, or to distribution to relevant agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Report anonymisation
- Removes identifying features from final opinions in preparation for publication or distribution, in accordance with HDC's anonymisation guidelines
Editing and proofreading
- As requested from time to time.
Desired Skills and Experience

Excellent editing and proof-reading skills, a high level of attention to detail, strong written communication skills, and the ability to work independently within prescribed turnaround times are essential for this role.
Key selection criteria:
- Relevant qualification or experience in proof reading is desirable
- High level of competence in Lotus Notes and MS Office suite
- Proven ability to write to a high standard (clear, accurate, concise, appropriate to audience)
- Strong attention to detail
- Well-developed analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Personal integrity, sound judgement and an honest and ethical approach.
