About the role:
- Are you skilled in bulk cooking and passionate about catering? Join our team and work in the Nelson rest home community!
- The Recruitment Network is seeking reliable and experienced chefs or cooks to create high-quality meals for our aged care clients.
- You will create fresh meals daily, including morning and afternoon teas, and lunch for the residents. Multitasking, a friendly disposition, and good communication skills are essential for interacting with rest home staff and residents. These positions are pivotal and require a cook/chef with relevant experience.
Job Details:
- Flexible Hours: Choose your shifts with our amazing TRN app.
- Pay Rate: $34 per hour plus 8% holiday pay
- Responsibilities: Prepare and cook meals with precision, maintain kitchen safety and hygiene standards, manage time effectively, and communicate well with the team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a cook or chef in a rest home, particularly in bulk cooking environments.
- Proficiency in baking and preparing textured foods.
- Ability to work unsupervised as well as supervise kitchen staff.
- Understanding of dietary requirements and food control regulations.
- A passion for food and a flexible, can-do attitude.
