Service/ Department: Integrated Operations Centre

Contract: Permanent, part-time, 32 hours per fortnight (0.4 FTE)

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Roster Office Coordinator to join our Integrated Operations Centre in Hastings. This role is integral to ensuring efficient Nurse Resource placements within the hospital and supporting the smooth functioning of our healthcare team.

As a Roster Office Coordinator, you will bring excellent administration skills, an eye for detail, and a customer-focused approach to coordinate nursing resources effectively. You’ll be responsible for working closely with the operational team to manage Nurse Resource placements and will also assist with general administrative tasks, including documentation and customer service. Your familiarity with payroll and roster systems and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential for success in this role.

About the Team/Service/ Location:

The Integrated Operations Centre plays a central role in managing hospital resources, and we pride ourselves on ensuring seamless support for patient care. You’ll be part of a team committed to high standards, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

 

About you:

· We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in administration and experience in a health or hospital setting. Key attributes include;

Strong familiarity with payroll and roster systems, with the ability to manage complex schedules.

· Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative approach to working with clinical and operational teams.

· Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and handle competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

· Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth (mandatory)

· Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings. (mandatory)
