About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for two New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapists/Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau ( OT) to be part of our Mental Health rotational programme.


The programme will provide a variety of opportunities to expand your clinical knowledge and ability to become a skilled OT in this field.


These rotational positions will best suit a new graduate or someone with up to 2 years’ experience. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to rotate approximately once every year.



About the Service

This position will allow the successful therapists an opportunity to rotate through a variety of clinical mental health settings, including year-long rotations in acute inpatient, forensic inpatient rehabilitation and community forensics.


This experience could be the foundation for a long and successful career in mental health.



About you

  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
  • A positive and flexible attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Experience of working in collaboration as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
