Location: Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week)

About the Role
This role is open to those recently qualified, as well as those with some clinical experience who are keen to develop their skills and experience in the acute setting of a tertiary teaching hospital and district wide services.
Rotations are varied across clinical areas including acute inpatients, post-acute, musculoskeletal and community services. Rotations include Orthopaedics, Medical and Oncology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Surgery, Cardio-Thoracic Unit, Health of the Older Person, MSK and Community. On gaining experience there are also opportunities in Medical Assessment Unit and ED, Hand therapy, Advancing Wellness in the Home Initiative (AWHI), paediatrics and our intensive care.
You will be well supported by a friendly, fun and enthusiastic team of highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapists and our team Coordinators. We offer extensive professional development opportunities including day to day clinical mentorship, weekly targeted team training, a well established fortnighly in-service programme, and monthly formal supervision. Cultural professional supervision is available from Māori and Pacific Health teams. New graduates are also supported through the Captial, Coast and Hutt District Allied Health New Graduate Programme.
About the Team/Service/Location
The Wellington Physiotherapy Team work predominantly in the inpatient setting at Wellington Regional Hospital. Our friendly, enthusiastic team includes coordinators, expert, advanced, experienced and rotational physiotherapists.

About you
We are looking for a recently graduated physiotherapist, or someone wanting to move into acute hospital practice, motivated to make a difference for our communities. Working with a diverse group of patients with significant health needs, you - ll demonstrate a strong foundation of clinical and communication skills and have a flexible, problem solving approach. You will have an understanding of the health needs of Māori and Pacific Island communities and be comfortable building rapport with patient and whānau from all backgrounds. You will have a drive to learn and develop, and understand the importance of equity in healthcare.
