About the role
Step into this pivotal role as Safety Manager, where you'll drive safety excellence and influence positive change in the aviation sector. Reporting to the Head of Operations, Safety & Compliance, you’ll take the lead in enhancing safety systems, building a proactive safety culture, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
  
Duties
  • Manage complex safety investigations and drive practical solutions
  • Lead and implement safety strategy, driving continuous improvement and culture change
  • Build relationships with aviation stakeholders and adapt communication for diverse teams
  • Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and Civil Aviation regulations  
Skills and experience
In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and a strategic mindset.  
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, particularly the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA)
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Civil Aviation rule Part 139 and ICAO Annex 14
  • Experience in high-risk industries, such as aviation or infrastructure projects
  • Proven leadership, with the ability to influence, engage, and build strong relationships at all levels
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team
