Our Client:

From humble beginnings our client is now New Zealand’s largest privately owned provider of quality rainwater goods. They manufacture and install metal spouting and rainwater systems, whether it be replacement of spouting to an existing building or a one-off bespoke design for a new construction project, they pride themselves on supporting clients with a solution-based approach to their needs.

About the role:

Based in Christchurch, and reporting to the Regional Operational Manager you will play a critical role in coordinating and scheduling workflows to ensure consistent and efficient installation delivery across the Central and Coastal Otago territory.  You will operate as the conduit between the customers and installers, to ensure both parties’ needs are met in an optimal manner.    


Responsibilities:

  • Manage jobs received via the scheduling database ServiceM8
  • Coordinate H&S requirements and order materials required for each job
  • Liaise with clients to schedule work, and confirm job details
  • Collaborate with installers through to job completion
  • Engage subcontractors e.g. scaffold, roofers, power etc.
  • Produce invoices, ensuring all variations are captured
  • Liaise between sales and operation teams, manage deadlines and expectations

  
Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in a scheduling or coordinate role
  • Practical mindset, with the ability to think on your feet and remain flexible
  • A customer-centric ethos, with a drive to achieve results
  • Sound computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office, MYOB, ServiceM8 (or similar)
  • Effective communicator, motivated self-started capable of working autonomously
  • Experience within the building industry and the ability to read plans (an advantage)
