About the Role
An opportunity has arisen to join our Medical & Surgical Services team as a Senior Administrator for a 12 month fixed term placement. This position provides administration support to the Medical & Surgical Services.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Administrator to join the Medical & Surgical Services teams at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti!
This position provides a high level administrative support to the Medical and Surgical Department ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The Medical & Surgical Services team is a team consisting of a Group Manager, an Operations Manager, a Personal Assistant, two Senior Administrators, 5 Medical Secretaries, an Elective Quality Administrator and a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

About you
The ideal candidate is someone who has worked as a senior administrator for a minimum of 3 years and who can deal with both internal and external customers in a polite and professional manner, who can multi task, is organised and process driven and able to work as a part of a high performing team.
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 3 years senior administration experience
- Strong people and customer service skills
- A demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- competency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
