Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

The National Paediatric and Adult Metabolic Service (NMS), while based in Auckland, is a national service that sees children and adults from across New Zealand. A Senior/Advanced Metabolic Dietitian position will be available in the near future. The role works Monday to Friday (part-time options available) and is based across Starship and Auckland City Hospital.

We are looking for someone to provide national expert dietetic education, advice and support to patients, parents, caregivers, and professional colleagues involved in the treatment of Inherited Metabolic Diseases (IMD). We are a close-knit team who work together with the wider multi-disciplinary teams; local services, and with our international community of colleagues, in order to achieve the best outcome for those we treat.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be an experienced paediatric dietitian (3+ years)
  • Bring experience working in Inherited Metabolic Diseases (IMD)
  • Work well autonomously and in a team environment
  • Currently hold or be eligible to apply for registration/ APC and a NZ driver’s license
  • Be considering relocation to Auckland, New Zealand within the next year
