We're looking for a digital channel specialist to join our Communications team in our Organisation Performance and Enablement branch. This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2025 based in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office to temporarily cover a permanent team member who has been seconded out of the team.

This is a great opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise as you provide tactical and strategic digital communications advice to help the Commerce Commission connect with New Zealanders. You will ensure content is posted to our digital channels in good time and that our channels are accurate, secure, and future focused.
Your day-to-day focus will be managing digital requests and our digital channels; our website (Squiz Matrix), intranet (SharePoint) and social media channels, and mentoring team members. Ideally, you will have a sharp eye for digital editing, as you work in the back end of our content management system. Excellent relationship and communication skills are vital in this role. You will be working with multiple stakeholders beyond the communications team across our branches, as well as managing relationships with our external providers.
The indicative salary range for this role is $104,400 - $122,824 plus 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience and knowledge of website content management systems, ideally the Squiz Matrix System, SharePoint, google analytics, social measurement tools etc.
- An understanding of what makes a successful digital function, and related experience to back this up
- Strong communication and relationship skills
- The ability to multitask, be agile, prioritise, and work in a complex environment with an often high-volume workload
- High attention to detail
- A process mind, with a focus on solutions
- The ability to self-manage and to bring ideas to the table
- Excellent relationship skills.
