This is a fixed term for three months, located in central Wellington. The salary range of this role is $108,126 - $143,618 per annum.
About the Ministry for Regulation
The Ministry for Regulation is a newly established small government agency with a big job to do.
We're charged with improving the rules and regulations imposed by Government to make them more streamlined and easier for New Zealanders to navigate. The Ministry's team is full of smart, dedicated professionals, working in a fast moving, fun, collaborative and 'can do' environment.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Channels and Content to join our small Engagement Team, working closely with the website project team and web developers to manage and execute the content workstream of the website project. You will work with the Ministry's subject matter experts, and various external government agencies to scope the content workstream, develop clear project milestones, and create clear, user-friendly, accessible content for the Ministry's permanent website.

You should be adept at collaborating with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts, have a solid grasp of project management principles, and approach challenges with agility and a mindset for continuous improvement. If you're ready to dive in and take action, ideally with the ability to start right away, we want to hear from you.
Key accountabilities
- Conduct content audits on existing material from the Ministry's website and other relevant sources to identify gaps and develop new content in collaboration with subject matter experts
- Establish the scope and project milestones for the content workstream
- Rewrite content from subject matter experts to ensure it is in plain language, reflects the Ministry's voice and meets audience needs
- Work with the project team and developers to refine the new website's information architecture
- Upload content into the content management system
- Assist with testing website functionality as required.
Skills and experience
- An understanding of project methodology
- Demonstrated experience in writing web content
- Good knowledge of web content best practice, usability, accessibility and search engine optimisation
- Experience using content management systems (preferably Silverstripe)
- Attention to detail and well-developed proofreading and editing skills
- Able to manage and prioritise a diverse set of tasks in a complex and fast-changing environment
- Able to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter, and communicate complex technical information accurately and clearly so that it is well understood for the audience
- Able to deal comfortably with uncertainty and changing environments
