Senior Advisor, Publications
Fixed Term 6 months – Full time or Part time | Wellington

At Te Tāhū Hauora Health Quality & Safety Commission (the Commission) we work with clinicians, health providers, whānau and consumers to improve health and disability support services across Aotearoa New Zealand.
Our goal is to ensure all groups get safe and high-quality care that matches their health needs, including improving access to care for those with needs that are not currently being addressed.
Te Tāhū Hauora is a Crown entity with a board responsible to the Minister of Health.

The role:
We're seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Advisor, Publications to join our team on a 6-month Fixed-term contract. This role can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, providing flexibility for the right person.
In this role, you will work closely with teams across the organisation as well as external suppliers to ensure all our publications reflect our brand and comply with government accessibility guidelines and legal requirements. You will be at the heart of our publishing efforts from editing to writing and overseeing design production.
What you'll bring:
· Proven experience in editing, writing, and managing publications
· Strong project management and contractor coordination skills
· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
· A keen eye for detail and commitment to plain language and accessibility
· Understanding of te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Bonus if you have:
· Knowledge of the health and disability sector
· Government experience
· Experience in web publishing and using a CMS
· Familiarity with design tools like InDesign or Canva
