Senior Civil Technician

The Company & The Role:
With a strong reputation in the consulting engineering industry, this company continues to expand, strengthening its civil teams across New Zealand. We are looking for a Senior Civil Technician to join the Auckland team, bringing technical expertise in land development.

In this role, you will collaborate with a Civil Manager and Technicial Director, supporting the wider civil team on detailed design and documentation of projects from concept to completion. You’ll play a key role in producing high-quality drawings and models, ensuring efficient project delivery, and mentoring junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed civil design drawings for land development, 3 waters infrastructure, earthworks, and roads/pavements using AutoCAD & Civil 3D.
• Support project engineers by developing designs, managing data, and ensuring design accuracy.
• Assist with the coordination of technical aspects across multidisciplinary teams.
• Liaise with clients, councils, and contractors to ensure designs meet regulatory and project requirements.
• Mentor Graduate to Intermediate Technicians, working closely with wider company senior project leaders.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in NZ-based civil drafting and design.
• 4+ years' experience in land development projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D.
• Experience preparing detailed design documentation for engineering projects.
• NZ Residency preferred.
