One of the key functions of the Strategy, Governance and Engagement Group (SGE) is the Strategic Communications and Engagement team.

Within this small, focussed team, the Senior Communications Advisor plays a critical role supporting the Director of Strategic Communications and Engagement and other DPMC leaders to provide high quality, relevant and timely communications and engagement advice. This includes a specific focus on informing and engaging DPMC people. The role involves reactive and proactive communications to help manage risk and to progress DPMC's purpose and work.

  • developing and implementing internal communications and engagement strategies;
  • providing strategic communications and engagement advice;
  • crafting change communications;
  • providing timely, expert and effective advice on routine; complex; unexpected or high risk internal and external communications;
  • contributing to the DPMC culture, and bringing life to the DPMC values and purpose;
  • contributing to building the communications team's capability.

You'll be up to speed with current communication tools and platforms, ensuring effective engagement across internal and external channels.

As a central agency, we're looking for experience of the media environment and media management including managing risk.
