This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.
The remuneration range for this role is $106,892 to $150,906 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
This is a dynamic position for a Senior Engineer to join a team of passionate 3 Waters Engineering professionals within Wellington Waters Network Strategy and Planning Group. Providing you an opportunity to make a difference through optimising 3 Waters distribution across the Wellington Region.
The role will see you take the lead on strategic planning and delivering network investigations that will ultimately lead to improved reliability of drinking water supply for the community and environmentally safe and efficient distribution of wastewater.
Additionally, you will assist with providing technical support across the organisation and managing third party consultants and contractors to deliver work programmes.
With a strong emphasis on collaboration, this role will also see you:
- lead challenging and interesting investigations across 3 Waters networks
- involved in tactical planning across the regions pump stations
- mentor and develop graduate and intermediate engineers
- support the capital program and investment planning processes for our client councils.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring the following:
- A relevant tertiary qualification such as Chartered Professional Engineering (preferred), Bachelor Engineering or Diploma in Engineering (preferably Environmental Natural Resources or Civil Engineering)
- Strong technical knowledge of pump stations and network hydraulics within the 3 Waters industry
- Sharp investigative skills with a solutions focus
- Excellent relationship management skills to compliment your strong communication skills
