The Office of the Public Service Commissioner is seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to support the Deputy Public Service Commissioners by providing high-level professional executive management and advice. This role is pivotal in ensuring a highly effective, proactive, and organised office environment, enabling the Deputy Commissioners to fulfil their statutory responsibilities efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have:
- The proven ability to manage competing demands, work under pressure, operate in ambiguity and anticipate needs.
- High-level interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and be able to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with chief executives and their offices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of te ao Māori, tikanga, and kawa, or a commitment to developing this understanding.
- Familiarity with executive government processes and systems.

This position usually pays between $79,619 to $97,644 depending on skills and experience.
