The Senior Executive Officer (SEO) works closely with our CEO in providing high-level confidential executive support whilst completing secretarial and administrative tasks for the uepū to achieve business goals. In addition, the role provides secretarial support to a subcommittee(s) of Te Mana Whakahaere (Council).
Your focus will also be on:
- Delivering strategic advice and administrative support to the CEO, enhancing their decision-making processes.
- Organising, attending, and minute taking of board and subcommittee meetings, including any additional events.
- Ad hoc project management and coordination to support the CEO
Your skills and experience will include:
- A bachelor’s degree, or additional, relevant qualification.
- Previous Executive Assistant comfortable supporting at tier one or Board level.
- A strong communicator, both written and verbal.
- Detail orientated, discrete and mature in your approach.
- A strategic mindset with sophisticated commercial acumen.
- Exceptional cultural awareness, with demonstrable commitment to participating in cultural activities.
- A high degree of competence in te reo Māori, with a strong understanding of te ao Māori and tikanga Māori.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, including engaging with hapū, iwi, and hapori Māori.
This role holds significant influence and will work alongside the CEO, acting as her eyes and ears on the ground.
