About the role
This is a hands-on role supporting a large solar farm project and hazardous LPG transport operations. You will provide strategic guidance on PCBU obligations, contractor management, and Health and Safety performance. Your focus will be to ensure that major contractors comply with health and safety commitments, prevent risky behaviours, and provide assurance that safety processes are effective.
Duties
Success in this role requires a deep understanding of contractor management, health and safety assurance, and compliance with PCBU obligations. You’ll need strong communication and leadership skills to influence contractors, conduct audits, and address health and safety risks. Experience in managing high-risk activities and driving safety improvements in large-scale projects will also set you apart.

- Develop and implement contractor assurance programmes
- Conduct audits, reviews, and compliance checks
- Monitor overlapping PCBU duties and contractor risk
- Support project and operations teams with H&S technical advice

- Health and safety qualification and Taproot/ICAM investigation experience
- Strong knowledge of H&S legislation, PCBU obligations, and high-risk activities
- Ability to engage contractors, assess H&S performance, and handle challenging conversations
- Proven experience supporting safety culture on large capital projects
