About the opportunity:

Our client is an expert Air Conditioning and Ventilation solutions provider, catering to clients across Auckland. They currently have a significant opportunity to be part of an established and growing Service and Maintenance team. This role will require a customer-focused and professional individual who is driven to succeed personally and as a team.

Role description:

The primary purpose of this position is to service and maintain a variety of Air
Conditioning and Ventilation systems/equipment. You will be reporting directly to the Service & Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Expertly servicing, repairing, and maintaining air conditioning and ventilation systems.
  • Diagnosing faults.
  • Confidently liaising with clients to represent the company in the best possible way.
  • Maintaining service records and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Taking a leadership role on-site and within the team.
  • Pro-actively driving the development of junior technicians/apprentices.
  • Installation of AC and ventilation systems - splits, VRF, duct, fans, ducting etc. as and when required.

This role will suit someone with all or some following
background/experience/qualities:

  • A minimum of 10 years of overall experience, including prior experience in a similar role.
  • Trade qualification or equivalent expertise.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Electrical Service Technician (EST) registration.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Great people skills with a willingness to build great relationships (internal and external)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Our client is a specialist Air Conditioning and Ventilation company operating since 2008. They look after hundreds of sites across Auckland made up of residential, commercial and industrial properties. They service and maintain a variety of plant and equipment – splits through to package units, inline fans through to AHU’s. They have a separate team that undertakes larger project installation work. With their headquarters conveniently located in Onehunga, they can efficiently serve a vast geographical area.
