About the Role
Applications are invited for a Specialist Dermatology Physician. The successful appointee should have a broad range of dermatology experience and training to care for patients.
The position involves providing supervision of advanced trainees (dermatology registrars), Dermatology Nurses and Medical Students from the University of Auckland and elsewhere. This challenging role demands outstanding professional skills and commitment to the speciality.
About the Team/Service/ Location
You will be part of a large dedicated team of physicians, registrars, clinical nurse specialist and administrative staff. The current Dermatology team is five dermatologists and three registrars (Advanced Trainees in Dermatology, Royal Australasian College of Physicians). Predominantly an outpatient service for patients with severe inflammatory skin diseases, we offer adult medical, paediatric, and subspecialty clinics, phototherapy, patch testing, and minor surgical procedures.
About you
Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:
. Training and postgraduate qualification as a Dermatologist.
. Applicants must be registered with the New Zealand Medical Council (or have qualifications that are immediately registerable). . Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
