Mō te tūnga | About the role
Come and join our vibrant team in this new role where you'll be working in the People and High-Performance team providing high quality, legally robust and best-practice people advice to Senior Leaders and their people leadership teams on all aspects of HR and the employee lifecycle from recruitment to succession planning.
You will support the delivery of strategic and operational business outcomes in areas including change management, employee engagement, workforce planning, talent management, succession planning and HR projects. A key element of the role is partnering with our people leaders to provide coaching, advice and support to enable the development of a positive workplace. This will include developing good working relationships, ensuring compliance with people-related policies and procedures and legal requirements through coaching People Leaders to proactively manage issues and risks at the lowest level of escalation.
Your pragmatism will support delivery across a varied and exciting programme of work, and you will share ideas and best practice across the wider People and High-Performance team to improve overall organisational and business process.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
You are an efficient and effective HR Business partner that can provide clear and consistent advice to senior stakeholders. With at least 5 years' experience as a trusted partner that's positive, resilient and practical.
Some other key requirements of the role include but not limited to:
- Understanding of HR best practice in both the private and public sectors
- An exceptional eye for detail
- Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
- Working knowledge of current NZ employment law and HR practices
- Ability to deliver clear messaging to different audiences
- Experience of partnering with senior leaders
- Change management experience
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture

Annual remuneration for this position starts between $125,926 and $139,459 dependant on experience.
