Senior Policy Analyst - Permanent
We have an exciting opportunity for someone with a solid policy background and/or experience in international education to join NZQA's Policy and International Team. The position that we are looking to fill is:
- (1) x Senior Policy Analyst (permanent)

About the role
We are looking for a person who can:
- lead policy projects relating to international education, qualifications recognition, and quality assurance frameworks
- draft and review a range of papers and briefings, submissions, aide memoires, presentations and speech notes, and overseas communications e.g. international conference papers
- represent NZQA in national and international settings, building and maintaining effective relationships to achieve project goals.
Reporting to the Team Leader – International, you will contribute to the implementation of NZQA's International Strategic Action Plan and support the development of operational policy for the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF), quality assurance framework and Rules.
To succeed in this role, you will be:

- familiar with the creation and interpretation of legislative frameworks
- committed to policy development and implementation that reinforces NZQA's reputation as the authority on matters impacting tertiary education
- an excellent communicator and relationship builder, comfortable providing high-quality advice
- a strong team player who contributes to an open and collaborative culture
- a self-starter who delivers results on time.
