Our client helps shape communities by delivering infrastructure, transport, and civil projects across New Zealand. They also offer full consulting and engineering services to a variety of sectors across the globe. Due to continued growth within the organisation, they are currently looking for a Senior Principal Planner to join their teams in Dunedin.

As Senior Principal Planner, you will play an integral role with planning projects for the organisation- this includes investigations, infrastructure consents, land use, strategic and statutory planning. You will use your expertise in planning to problem solve issues and help streamline processes. Your relationship management and communication skills will further develop in this position as you will be a key contact for clients. Helping to motivate and mentor junior team members to success is also a part of this role.

We are interested in speaking with candidates that have a relevant tertiary degree (Resource Management, Policy, Geography, etc.), 8+ years’ experience working within the planning/ policy sector, sound knowledge of the Resource Management Act and its application, an understanding of issues surrounding the built environment, strong written and oral communications, and an eye for excellence and quality.
