Senior Process Designer – PPTS
Location: Wellington | Salary Range: up to $120,000 | Fixed Term: 6 Months
Are you a skilled Process Designer passionate about transforming processes for enhanced customer experience and operational efficiency? Te Ara Manaaki within DIA is searching for a Senior Process Designer on a fixed-term basis to develop and optimise processes that align with our digital and service transformation goals. Collaborating across teams, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that process designs support our objectives of customer-centred, efficient, and reliable government services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the redesign of operational processes and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Facilitate workshops and engage with stakeholders to define user needs and incorporate feedback.
• Develop process blueprints and documentation that inform both policy and operational practices.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of new processes, providing ongoing support and insights.
About You:
• Proven experience in process design, ideally within a public service or large-scale transformation project.
• Strong understanding of LEAN methodologies, business process reengineering, and change management.
• Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to lead design-thinking workshops.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
• NZ citizenship is an essential requirement for this role.
