Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
As one of our new Senior Procurement Specialists in either our Infrastructure Capital or Infrastructure Asset Management procurement teams, you will support the planning, sourcing and management of best practice procurement through the application of appropriate strategies, methodologies, systems, processes and tools across all stages of the procurement life cycle to drive value for money outcomes. These new positions will have a strong delivery focus, particularly within the sourcing and management phases and will support where required. Working in one of Aotearoa New Zealand's largest public sector procuring agencies, these roles offers an outstanding opportunity to build your procurement expertise in a supportive environment while doing interesting work.

Ō Pūmanawa | What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will have some or all of the following (but don't worry if you don't tick every box).
  • Strong understanding of procurement practices, ideally within a complex public sector environment, with construction, physical works or related professional services procurement experience preferred
  • A sound knowledge of government procurement policies, rules and process.
  • Experience in planning and managing a range of end-to-end sourcing processes, ideally using a variety of approach to market mechanisms.
  • Experience in managing contracts, including supplier performance management, using formal structured contract management processes and practices
  • Sound commercial acumen, with good data and financial literacy
  • Experience in formal structured contract management of strategically important contracts
  • A Tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent experience, with CIPS or related professional industry membership preferred
