The company
This consultancy is a well-renowned and highly respected for design and management of quality interior fit-out projects in Auckland. They work on projects ranging in value from $50k to $2m for clients in a range of sectors. They have their own designers, project managers and site managers achieving their clients’ goals in terms of high quality, effective workplace solutions.

The position
The PM team is in need of a Senior Project Manager to manage a portfolio of high-end commercial fit-out projects. Candidates must be professional and well presented with a demonstrable capability and confidence in client facing, liaison and communication.

This includes being confident in chairing / leading project leadership group meetings, senior leadership team meetings, stakeholder management and risk management.

The role will cover end to end management of interior fit-out projects from gathering client requirements and managing design through to construction management and handover. Because they offer a full turnkey package, this role will work closely with the in-house design team to ensure best fit-for-purpose solutions and will see you working alongside some of the brightest PM and design professionals in the industry.

The salary
Salary will be in the range of $150-160k, depending on experience. A vehicle and fuel card also come with the package.

Required skills and experience

· Demonstrable experience of managing and delivering high end fit-out projects in the commercial sector in New Zealand, ideally from a Design & Build background
· Excellent client facing ability and experience, strong relationship management and communication skills
· Project Programming & Tracking experience, relevant and strong IT skills
· Managing project teams of consultants, designers, quantity surveyors, construction managers, site managers
· Strong ability to drive the project and deliverables to ensure project is delivered on time and on budget
· Team player, people person, articulate, knowledgeable, consultative and authoritative
· Min of 6 years experience in client project management for commercial interiors projects
· The enthusiasm and drive to deliver the best solutions to clients
· Knowledge of interior design principles and construction techniques
