Job Description

Our client is a successful, New Zealand professional services practice who we provide electrical, civil and structural engineering consulting services to the power and energy industry.

They undertake a wide range of interesting and challenging projects involving the design of new or upgraded HV Substation facilities and infrastructure across New Zealand.

The primary responsibilities are as given below

  • Development of protection schemes.
  • Relay configuration.
  • Protection settings.
  • Protection reports.
  • Review of protection designs.
  • Lead technical discussions with clients to determine the optimal solution to meet their needs
  • Develop and review protection standards for clients and internal use.
  • Assist in motivating, mentoring and training team members.

An ideal candidate would have

  • HV/MV Substation experience.
  • 8+ years post graduate engineering experience.
  • Be degree qualified.
  • Possess good analytic and report writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • A strong technical knowledge of specifications, standards and codes.
