Job Description

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or an Intermediate looking for that next step with a strong background in commercial building, fit-out and refurbishment projects. About the Role:

Work in the commercial team to help deliver projects that are on time and on budget. Develop great relationships with the Project Managers who are working across various sites.
Assisting Project Managers with Estimating, Contracts Administration and Quantity Surveying functions along with other commercial aspects of construction sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting & cost control
  • Prepare accurate and timely cost reports, forecasts, and financial analysis
  • Arranging Contracts Works Insurance for each project
  • Preparing pricing schedules and bills of quantities for new project works
  • Track project performance and inform decision-making.
  • Preparation of documentation for tendering packages.
  • Evaluation of tenders and making formal recommendations for the appointment of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Assessing variations and claims.
  • Contract administration, review of invoices and preparation of payment schedules.
  • Evaluation, reporting and resolving contractual issues.
  • Producing final accounts and closing out contracts.

Requirements for the successful applicant:

  • BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • 5 years relevant experience in Quantity Surveying on commercial construction projects in New Zealand.
  • Familiarity with Procore systems will be an advantage.
  • Salary circa $120-150k dependent on experience.
