Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

As our newest Senior Stakeholder Relationships Manager for the Nelson, Marlborough and West Coast region, you'll play a key role as an ambassador for Kāinga Ora. You'll engage with the local community and stakeholder groups both internal and external to support and drive mutually beneficial outcomes and strong relationships. This will require an in-depth knowledge of the local and regional environment, and also the need to work with colleagues across Kāinga Ora to ensure the broader national goals of the organisation are met.

This role will see you out and about in the community, so you'll need to be comfortable working with people at all levels and demographics. You'll lead the engagement with internal and external stakeholders around our redevelopments and build programme as well as take part in organising and attending community events, often in partnership with other organisations.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver engagement activity of local and regional significance and importance to the business.
  • Broad and extensive stakeholder and community engagement experience.
  • Ability and credibility to represent the organisation with external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and simultaneously with multiple teams and agendas.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
