Mō te tūnga | About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Analyst, Financial Management Information System (FMIS) based in Wellington. In this position you will take charge of the overall reliability, performance management and related support of our finance systems. In addition you will also have an opportunity to consider opportunities for improvements. This position provides day to day operational support of the system and a range of key tasks such as enabling access to the system, creating and carrying out projects and managing cost centre codes and financial delegations. You will work with a motivated progressive team of likeminded professionals.

Key requirements of the role include:
- Continuously evaluate and optimize the system to meet evolving business needs and enhance functionality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective system configuration and workflows.
- Providing support for implementation, transition and change management processes and support with coordinating third-party systems during transitions and system upgrades.
- Perform system maintenance tasks within the FMIS to ensure that all internal controls within the system are applied and that an audit trail is maintained.
- Ensure the FMIS data environment maintains a high standard of data quality while also providing a good user experience.
- Raise any concerns of risk to Manager FMIS at the earliest opportunity. Ensure all internal controls and compliance requirements are met and provide reports as necessary.
- Load and test new software relevant to the FMIS by developing and supporting the Manager FMIS in planning, implementation, and change management for system improvements.
- Provide support and consultation in implementing planning, configuration, testing, rollout and post-implementation support of new or changed business processes. This includes the provision of training to end users when required.
- Act as a conduit between business groups and the finance team, IT, design teams and staff with queries.
To succeed, you will bring significant experience in FMIS implementation, planning, testing and the production and implementation of documentation and training. You will also have strong knowledge of end to end Finance Information Management Systems and experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and Concur systems. You will have a well developed ability to multi-task and shift gears between competing priorities and enjoy working with different stakeholders.
