Starting salary: $95,972 - $128,391 negotiable + KiwiSaver

Te tūnga | The role
This role is a key part of the Processing Service Line in Technology Services at Stats NZ. We work on various systems which are used for processing our data.
Reporting to a Technology Delivery Manager you will work collaboratively with your multi-disciplinary technology team, business stakeholders and system engineers in other teams.
You will be supporting existing solutions and help deliver solutions that are consistent with the Stats NZ ICT architecture guidance.
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong SQL Database Administration expertise
- Enterprise Infrastructure Engineering skills, including server provisioning, automation, server hardening, support and maintenance in a hybrid Azure/On-Prem environment
- Scripting Proficiency in languages like Python, PowerShell or Bash
- Cloud & DevOps Knowledge - Experience with Terraform, automation, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Cybersecurity Awareness - Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practises
- Familiarity with Tools - Experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, Azure DevOps, Git, Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Adaptability and Resilience - Ability to support a multi-located business with tenacity and a practical, solution-oriented approach
