Job Description

The position
An experienced Site Manager is required for this well-established and successful interior fit-out contractor. This role would be a good fit for a candidate who has extensive experience of working on commercial fit-out projects as a Site Manager, Foreman or Supervisor in NZ.

The position is to take full responsibility for all site activities and reporting to the project manager. You will be ensuring works are programmed to be delivered on time, controlling trades on-site and ensuring the scope of works is satisfied.

Salary
The salary on offer is in the region of $120-130k depending on experience, a vehicle is included. The employer will consider those at both an intermediate and more senior level.

Experience required:
· Minimum of 4 years experience in Site Management for commercial level fit-out projects gained in New Zealand
· Onsite Labour Management: timekeeping for employees under your supervision, ensuring high level of productivity, fostering positive working relationship and strong team environment
· Health and Safety Supervision: maintaining and implementing site specific safety plans, completing Toolbox meetings and safety audits as specified in the site specific safety plan
· Quality Assurance: reading and understanding specifications of designed building components, completing quality assurance records
· An understanding and appreciation of the PM and QS elements of a project – knowing that these guys run the project, and that you run the site.
· You will have a trade qualification and come from a trades background.
· Excellent communication skills, man management and the ability to prioritise are essential in order to be successful in this position.
